WELCOME TO KHANDADHAR

Experience The Love and Care of Nature...

The Khandadhar Water fall” of Bonai Forest Division of Sundargarh District is believed to be the second highest water fall after the Barehipani water fall of Similipal, Nevertheless this is the 12th largest water fall in our country and is  categorized as a horse-tail water fall. This perennial water fall is one of the most striking gifts of nature and a jewel in the tourist circuit of the Sundargarh region. The fall is located amidst the lush greenery of Bonai Forest Division. The Korapani Nala, a small stream, plunges from a height of 244 metres (801 ft.) forms the water fall.

The Khandadhar Waterfall is truly a delight to watch. The beauty of the Khandadhar multiplies during the monsoon months when the water from the Korapani Nala, a rivulet, overflows and it drops down as a cascade. The sparkling waters of the fall come gushing down creating an incredibly enchanting sight. The most captivating sight is the rainbow which is formed at the base of the waterfall, and the rainbow appears to dance as the waterfall oscillates. It is the perfect picnic spot and one of the important ecotourism destinations of Odisha.
